Even if I was a soccer fan, I don't think I could watch the World Cup in South Africa, at least not with the volume up on the television. I have tuned in to two matches so far and couldn't take the droning noise for more than 10 minutes. It sounded like locusts or a hornets' nest. It is a torturous and almost constant sound.
